FULL FRONTAL: Hot Flashes, Hysterectomy’s and Hormones; It’s Menopause time! With Dr. Shyama

Hello Humans! Did you know perimenopause (the start of symptoms of menopause) begin on average in a persons early to mid 40’s? Did you know that not all women get hot flashes? Did you know birth control can mitigate some symptoms of menopause/ NEITHER DID WE! In this episode we are joined again by the incredible Dr. Shyama Mathews, OBGYN. We had so many requests for an episode all about Menopause that we could think of no better person to go over the finer details and listener (and host TBH) questions! Menopause is not a topic of conversation in many circles and it is such a shame because anyone with a uterus is going to experience this shift in hormones, desires, lubrication, emotions, weight gain, hair loss and so many other aspects of the end of your menstrual cycle. It is important to get the conversation going and share with friends and loved ones about your experiences! We get to some great questions about onset, genetics, symptoms, medications, hormone replacements and more!
